Results of our RSF-DST project were presented by Prof. Vladimir Poroikov as the plenary lecture “Computational platform Way2Drug: From Prediction of Biological Activity to Drug Repurposing” at the Conference of RSF grantees “From Molecule to Drug”, which held in Kazan, Russia on November 26-28, 2018.

Drs. Vladimir Poroikov, Alexey Lagunin and Dmitry Druzhilovskiy met in Punjabi University with the Indian collaborators of the project and discussed the current state and the further work that must be realized by the end of the project.

Oral talk “Drug-Drug Interactions for FDA Approved Drugs Estimated on the Basis of Known “Mechanism-Effect” Relationships on Drug Repositioning Way2Drug Platform” was presented by Dr. Alexey Lagunin at the ITDDD-2018.

Two Russian researchers, Prof. Vladimir Poroikov and Dr. Dmitry Druzhilovskiy, have visited the Indian collaborators at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT) in Hyderabad, India. During this visit, Russian and Indian participants of the RSF-DST project discussed the current state of the joint project execution, future prospects of its development, performed joint computational experiments, and prepared several joint manuscripts.

Three Russian researchers, Prof. Vladimir Poroikov, Dr. Anastassia Rudik and Dr. Dmitry Druzhilovskiy, have visited the Indian collaborators at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT) in Hyderabad, India. During this visit, Russian and Indian participants of the RSF-DST project discussed the general architecture of the computational platform and protocols of the informational exchange, and performed joint computational experiments to validate the computational facilities of Indian and Russian teams. Prof. Vladimir Poroikov presented a talk «Computer-aided drug repurposing: new uses for old drugs or filling gaps in biomedical knowledge?» at the seminar, and, due to the special request of Indian collaborators, presented a talk «Possibilities for Cooperation between Russia and India in Education and Science» at the meeting with the students and young scientists of the CSIR-IICT.
